Tour Program Schedule

Day 01 :Arrival at International Airport. We will meet & assist you at the airport. And transfer to a Beach Resort in Waikkal or Negambo.

Day 02: After Breakfast proceed to Polonnaruwa. En-route visit Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage. The Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage, established in 1975, commenced with seven orphans. Today some of these orphans enjoy the fortune of seeing their grandchildren born in the same location. The original objective of establishing the orphanage inclined more towards tourism, but is soon became a conservation and educational centre. After proceed to Polonnaruwa. Polonnaruwa city tour .Polonnaruwa: The island’s medieval capital situated in the cultural triangle rose to fame after Anuradhapura’s decline. The largest of its many reservoirs, the Parakrama Samudra, is larger than the Colombo harbour. Places to be seen: Remains of the King’s council chamber, the Royal Citadel, the Kumara Pokuna, the Royal Pavilion, the Vatadage Relic House (which is lavished with moonstones, guard stones, and a sculptured railing), Kiri Vehera, and Gal vihara.Overnight Stay in Giritale – Polonnaruwa.

Day 03: after Breakfast proceed to Anuradhapura.Sightseeing tour in Anuradhapura. Anuradhapura is Sri Lanka’s first capital is situated in the dry zone. It is one of Sri Lanka’s premier ancient cities located in the cultural triangle. Places to be seen: Sri Maha Bodhi (Sacred Bo Tree), Ruwanveliseya Dagoba (Maha or Great Stupa), Thuparama Dagoba, Jetavanarama Dagoba, Abhayagiri Dagoba, Ratnaprasada or Gem Palace, Samadhi Buddha, Mirisvetiya Dagoba, Isurumuniya Viharaya and many more…Overnight Stay in Giritale – Polonnaruwa.

Day 04: After Breakfast go for a safari in Minneriya National Park. Then proceed to Sigiriya and evening relax & leisure at hotel.

Day 05: After breakfast proceed to Sigiriya. Climb the 5th century Sigiriya rock fortress*. Sigiriya Rock Fortress, which is a world heritage site, built by King Kashyapa (477-495 AD). The ‘Lion Rock’ is a citadel of unusual beauty rising 200 metres from the scrub jungle. The rock was the innermost stronghold of the 70 hectare fortified town. A moat, rampart, and extensive gardens including the renowned water gardens ring the base of the rock. Visit the world-renowned frescoes of the ‘Heavenly Maidens’ of Sigiriya, which are in a sheltered pocket of the rock approached by a spiral stairway. These frescoes are painted in earth pigments on plaster.. Proceed to Nilaveli. Overnight stay in Nilaveli Beach,Trincomalee


Day 06:
Nilaveli Relax on the beach. Take a boat ride to the Pigeon Island. Overnight stay in Nilaveli .

Day 07 : After breakfast proceed to Kandy.En route visit Dambulla cave temple Like Sigiriya, Dambulla is a vast isolated rock mass, which houses a rock temple (formerly caves). Some of its frescoes are over 2,000 years old – and there is a colossal figure of the recumbent Buddha caved out of the rock, some 14 metres long. . En route visit Spice Garden & Batik Factory. Spice garden at Matale which grows spices and herbs used for Sri Lankan cuisine and medication. Spices of Sri Lanka attracted the early sea-faring merchants who made the long voyages to purchase this precious merchandise. We will of course visit the The Holy Temple of the Tooth of the Buddha. This temple, the most important one for the Sri Lankan Buddhists was built in the 16th Century A.D. solely for the purpose of housing the tooth relic. Day 08: After breakfast We will visit the Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya, one of the finest in Asia. Located in a loop of River Mahaweli, it is a place of beauty and site for bird watchers. Later visit Art and Crafts* Centre and Gem* Bureau view a documentary film too on how Sri Lankan Gem mining is traditionally done. Sightseeing of Kandy the Royal City (1469-1815 AD) including a Lake Drive.

Day 09: After breakfast proceed to Nuwara Eliya. Nuwara Eliya, the misty city is located over 5960 feet above sea level.The drive of Kandy – Nuwara Eliya Road is refreshing with endless, seamless tea plantations covering the hills like carpets and cascading waterfalls to mesmerize you.Kandy – Nuwara Eliya Road is one of the most scenic roads in Sri Lanka. We will be driving along a winding ascending road amidst seamless tea plantations covering hills from top to bottom to skirt the road all the way up to the destination interspersed by cascading waterfalls.

We will visit a Tea Plantation and a Tea Factory* en route. We drive through Ramboda mountain pass & view Ramboda waterfalls. Arrive in Nuwara Eliya, also known as “Little England” to be greeted by the fresh wintry atmosphere, the cottage type bungalows and the colonial air.
City tour: we drive through the town of Nuwara Eliya observing the well-maintained buildings of colonial Architecture. Busy market, Lake Gregory, golf course, race course, vegetable cultivation, tea plantations.Overnight stay at Hotel in Nuwara Eliya*.See Nuwara Eliya Hotels*

Day 10: After breakfast proceed to Ella. Enjoy the view of the famous Ella gap; also view the beauty of the Ravana Falls as you descend to the low lands. Tour Bandarawela city. Relax in the cool hills. Dinner & overnight stay in Ella.

Day 11: After breakfast proceed to Kataragama. Overnight stay in Kataragama.

Day 12: After early breakfast visit Yala Wild Life park. Embark on a jeep safari. After lunch proceed to a Selected Beach hotel Hikkaduwa / Bentota / Beruwela / Kalutara / Induruwa / Wadduwa
