Day 1: Colombo*See Colombo

We are at your service on arrival at Colombo International Airport. We will meet & assist you at the airport. And transfer to a hotel in the capital, Colombo.
Evening we can drive around the city of Colombo – Galle Face green, colonial old parliament building, Town Hall, & if the time permits a visit to Kelaniya Royal Temple of splendid paintings. Dinner & overnight at a hotel in Colombo*See Hotels in Colombo*

Day 2: Colombo / Pinnawela / Dambulla / Anuadhapura

After breakfast, we leave for Anuradhapura (437 BC-845 AD) via Pinnawela* Elephant Orphanage & Golden Dambulla Rock Temple* (76 BC-1778 AD).
Orphaned elephants of all ages from baby elephants to elderly matriarchs are adopted at Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage. And they breed in captivity too. We will see them fed in the orphanage & bath & play in the nearby river. Golden Dambulla Rock Temple. The king who found sanctuary in these rock caves in 1st Century B.C from the Dravidian invaders from South India converted them into a monastery upon regaining his kingdom. Day 3: Anuradhapura / Mihintale / Anuradhapura*

Anuradhapura. A sacred city. The first capital of Sri Lanka founded in the. City Tour includes. We will visit Isurumuniya rock temple, Golden Sand Stupa, Sacred Bo-tree, the Brazen – Palace, Samadhi Buddha Statue, Abhayagiri Stupa, Twin Ponds and Jetavana Dagoba.

Mihintale is the first decaled wildlife sanctuary in the world & you will find the ruins of the first recorded hospital in the world. A Buddhist monastery with Stupa, rock caves & ponds on the summit of a rock climbed by way of magnificently carved stone stairway. Conversion of Sinhalese to Buddhism by bhikku (monk) Arhath Mahinda, the son of Emperor Asoka of India took place herein. A sacred site.Overnight stay at Hotel in Anuradhapura.*

Day 4: Anuradhapura / Polonnaruwa / Sigiriya*

After breakfast we leave for Polonnaruwa* (846 AD-1302 AD).

Polonnaruwa was the capital of Sri Lanka during 846-1302 AD. We will visits drive along the bank of Parakrama Samudra (The Sea of Parakrama ), the great rainwater reservoir, visit the Gal Vihare with its majestic rock statues of the Buddha in seated, reclining’s & standing postures, the Thuparamaya, the princes’ pond, Lankatilaka Vihara and the relic houses of magnificent Polonnaruwa Vatadageya, Hatadageya and the Atadageya.Overnight stay at Hotel in Habarana.*See hotels in Habarana

Day 5: Sigiriya / Matale / Kandy

We make a move to The Lion Rock Citadel, Sigiriya (479-496 AD).

The Lion Rock Citadel, Sigiriya Known to be the 8th Wonder of the World (479-496 AD) was built in the period of 7 years from 479 to 485 A.D. This World Heritage Site has Asia’s oldest surviving landscape garden. Boulder gardens, water gardens and terrace gardens leading to the stone stairways through Gigantic Lions paws. Magnificent frescos of celestial nymphs are tucked into a pocket of the rock. After lunch we leave for Kandy the Royal City, (1469-1815 AD).En route we will visit a spice garden at the city of Matale which grows herbs for Ayurvedic medication & Spices of Sri Lanka. Day 6: Kandy*

We will visit the Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya, one of the finest in Asia. Located in a loop of River Mahaweli, it is a place of beauty and site for bird watchers. Later visit Art and Crafts* Centre and Gem* Bureau view a documentary film too on how Sri Lankan Gem mining is traditionally done. Sightseeing of Kandy the Royal City (1469-1815 AD) including a Lake Drive.

Still more we will pay a visit to The Holy Temple of the Tooth, one of the holiest Buddhist temples in the world. It was built in the 16th Century A.D. solely for the purpose of housing the tooth relic. We will witness & enjoy the magnificent Art & Architecture of Kandyan era of the history of Lanka. Day 7: Kandy / Nuwara Eliya

Breakfast at Hotel. Leave for Nuwara Eliya.Nuwara Eliya, the misty city is located over 5960 feet above sea level.The drive of Kandy – Nuwara Eliya Road is refreshing with endless, seamless tea plantations covering the hills like carpets and cascading waterfalls to mesmerize you.Kandy – Nuwara Eliya Road is one of the most scenic roads in Sri Lanka. We will be driving along a winding ascending road amidst seamless tea plantations covering hills from top to bottom to skirt the road all the way up to the destination interspersed by cascading waterfalls.

We will visit a Tea Plantation and a Tea Factory* en route. We drive through Ramboda mountain pass & view Ramboda waterfalls. Arrive in Nuwara Eliya, also known as “Little England” to be greeted by the fresh wintry atmosphere, the cottage type bungalows and the colonial air.

City tour: we drive through the town of Nuwara Eliya observing the well-maintained buildings of colonial Architecture. Busy market, Lake Gregory, golf course, race course, vegetable cultivation, tea plantations.Overnight stay at Hotel in Nuwara Eliya*See Nuwara Eliya Hotels

Day 8: Nuwara Eliya / Arugam Bay

Breakfast at Hotel. Leave for arugam bay. Arugam bay is in the east of Sri lanka is now a very famous destination within beach lovers and with surfers.On our way we make a stop at Ella Grand Hotel to enjoy the view of the famous Ella gap, also view the beauty of the Ravana Falls as you descend to the low lands. And then passing Wellawaya you are entering to another kind of vegetation which is completely different from what you saw in Habarana area. Then we have to pass Lahugala sanctuary to reach Arugam Bay and when we drive through sanctuary you can see many wild elephants. Day 9: Arugam Bay*

Day 10: Arugam Bay/Ruhuna Yala National Park*

Breakfast at Hotel. And leave for Ruhuna Yala National Park. This will include a Safari tour by jeep with a jungle tracker, where we can enjoy wildlife including Elephants, Bears, Wild boar, Dear, Buffalo, Monkeys and many other animals if you are lucky, leopards too. Day 11: Yala / Kirinda / Mirissa Whales Watching* /VOC Galle Dutch Fort* / Hikkaduwa*

Early Breakfast at Hotel and Leave for Mirissa. From Mirissa harbor leave for whales & and dolphin* watching.Srilanka in particular Mirissa Known to be the world’s best place to see those magnificent creatures. En route Visit Dutch Fort at Galle port (WHS) built on a peninsula.

VOC Galle Dutch Fort, an ancient city is now a modern and buzzing town though the Dutch Fortress remains as it was during the Dutch period. Galle was the most important sea port at the crossroads of Far East & Middle East since the days of the Romans. The sea-faring merchants arrived to trade and barter, in exchange of western goods, eastern silk & spices, gems* & ivory, peacocks & elephants. This is also where the Portuguese first set foot in the year 1505 and built a fortress, which was later captured and fortified by the Dutch. The fortress is one of the best preserved in the island and its World Heritage Site named by UNESCO. The oldest Protestant church in the country called the “Groote Kirk” built by the Dutch among many other buildings, villas, bungalows, mosques is located inside the Fort fortified with massive ramparts & bastions. Day 12/13/14:

Hikkaduwa-Beach holidays.

Golden Beach, Scuba diving, Snorkeling, surfing, watch coral reef with glass bottom boats, and much more. Spend your time lazing on a Sun deck watching the beach, reading a book, and sipping a cool fresh tropical fruit drink of Pine apple, Mango, Banana.

Day 15: Colombo / Colombo Airport

After breakfast at hotel we leave for Colombo international airport or transfer to a hotel in Colombo.
